The BPO has a strong commitment to the city of Brisbane and has performed with many local soloists and other community groups. In 2008, with the assistance of our sponsors and business partners, the BPO will once again present a full concert season and as part of the 4MBS Festival of Classics.
The Brisbane Philharmonic will be performing in the Brisbane Festival in 2008. More information will be available when the Brisbane Festival launches on April 17 2008.
The BPO is an orchestra that is entirely run by its members. The orchestra's diverse membership includes medical specialists, engineers, teachers, public-sector employees, librarians, students, and many more. Every player has an opportunity to contribute to the organisation of the orchestra, whether it be administratively on our executive or artistically through our programming committee.
